Blokes and their bikes from Sydney Cafe Racers gathered on Wednesday evening at Eastern Creek Dragway to duke it out on their rides, ringing their necks and achieving personal bests down the quarter mile. A challenge was created between two members, who has the fastest SR500?

There was an eclectic mix of bikes, styles and decades mixed into the perfect melting pot. After the bikes were checked, and double checked, and the shit talking had died down a bit it was time to hit the dragway.

The crowd that was there loved the sudden appearance amidst all the street cars of these oddball bikes. Everyone gave it their best, without many mechanical issues (Sorry Simon Bimson!) – SCR’s own Harley Borkowski nabbed third place for reaction time and got to take home some cash in his pocket.

The SCR guys have been having quarter mile nights for a few years at the drag way, and the fastest Hinckley they have seen yet was Tremayne running a 12.287 Quarter sporting some FCR flat slide carbies.

SCR’s Daniel Serra had his recent purchase out on the track; a 2010 Honda CB1100 and hit the fastest speed he’s ever done, touching just over 170kph.
