Handcrafted Bodywork and Exhaust
The GT1000 underwent a striking transformation with a wealth of hand-shaped bodywork, meticulously designed around the concept of an under-tail exhaust and the factory tank. Purpose Built Moto went the extra mile, crafting a 100% hand-made exhaust and muffler setup, along with a completely new subframe. A stylish chin spoiler was also added to the mix, resulting in a forward-leaning, race-ready stance that exudes pure elegance.
Achieving perfection with the exhaust and tail section was no small feat. Starting from scratch, Purpose Built Moto faced the challenge of creating reference points from scratch. The painstaking effort paid off, as this tail and exhaust system formed the anchor point for the entire design. With a growing emphasis on custom sheet metal work, Purpose Built Moto’s skills evolved, delivering increasingly impressive results.
Ohlins Suspension, Jonich Wheels, and More
To complement the stunning aesthetics, the GT1000 received a full Ohlins suspension upgrade, which significantly enhanced its handling capabilities. Lighter Jonich wheels were fitted, ensuring a blend of style and performance that matched the bike’s newfound persona. Braking upgrades further elevated the bike’s stopping power.
Under the hood, the engine remained untouched but was expertly tuned by Cube Ducati. Upgrades to the airbox and exhaust, featuring a venturi section to optimise crankcase breathing, transformed the bike’s performance. The result?
