Armado Fuera de Fabrica or ‘Armed Out Of Factory’ is a custom motorcycle exhibition and competition held in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires. Situated by the sea, it’s a warm and picturesque day filled with colourful bikes and their quality colourful owners.
AFF Motos was founded in 2015 by local garage La Milla Del Diablo (The Devil’s Mile). The event brought together an amalgamation of both amateur and professional bike builders to have their work shown off at Malloy’s Bar, with the amazing Vicente Lopez waterfront as a backdrop. There would be three categories of the 150+ bikes on show in which the best of the best would be picked out by a team of 12 experts. The categories would be Bobbers & Choppers, Café Racers, and Scramblers & Trackers. These categories would then in turn be separated in engine displacement classes. This crack team of experts would then rate these bikes based on things such as their construction quality, paintwork, design, style and uniqueness.
It was a tough task for the judges, as the selection of bikes were a shining example of the creativity and ingenuity of the Argentinian custom motorcycle scene. With over 2,700 in attendance throughout the day, plenty of locals and none-riders alike also appreciated the hard work going on in garages and workshops around Buenos Aires.
