The 2015 Hotrod and Custom Auto Expo was held last weekend at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, and its two full days of Rock and Roll, trade stalls, painting comps, giveaways and displays were as great as ever.

Following the success of the 2014 event, this year’s show maintained it’s high standard with some guest stars and cars attending. International Pin Up Model Sabina Kelley made a guest appearance, along with Hot Rod legend Charley Hutton.

Two mad machines from the newly released film ‘Mad Max – Fury Road’ were also on display, with their over-the-top customisation and unique design creating a stir with hot rodders and film buffs alike. Their prescence only added to the contagious excitement for the Aussie film.

Non-stop rock and roll featured throughout the weekend to keep punters tapping their toes. The show was displayed over two levels of the exhibition hall, representing thousands of man hours and ridiculous amounts of hard earned dollars worth of cool custom creations by die hard car and bike enthusiasts.

As always, Sydney Café Racers had some of their best bikes on display, winning trophies and creating a lot of interest amongst the hot rod crew. The respect between bike builders and car builders was evident and the discussions on man hours and dollars spent on their respective rides was long and kept behind their partner’s backs.

All entrants in the show were in the running for a trophy, which were awarded to the winners of various classes. These classes were judged under ASRF (Australian Street Rod Federation) rules, so you can be sure the winners were to the highest of standards.

The show was a credit to the organizers, sponsors, traders, entrants and public, and is sure to be a staple in the custom community for years to come.
